PONTIANAK - The West Kalimantan Province strives to be a good host at the 25th BIMP EAGA Ministerial Meeting. This will raise the potential and have an impact on regional economic growth.


"We hope this meeting will be able to raise the potential of our region from the creative economy sector, MSMEs, Tourism, as well as from plantations, non-timber forest products or other things that we can cooperate with and the results can benefit the people (of West Kalimantan)," said the Regional Secretary of the West Kalimantan Province, dr. Harisson, M.Kes. after chairing a regional technical preparation meeting at Balai Petitih of the West Kalimantan Governor’s office, Tuesday (25/10/2022).


He explained, the BIMP EAGA Ministerial Meeting was a discussion event attended by ministers, ministerial-level officials, and governors in each member country in raising the potential of their regions. This international conference is also usually attended by partners from other countries and international institutions. BIMP EAGA member countries can take the advantages of this economic meeting momentum and build mutual cooperation.
