PONTIANAK - The West Kalimantan Putra Putri Pariwisata and the dancers will welcome the VIP guests of the 25th BIMP EAGA Ministerial Meeting at Supadio International Airport, Kubu Raya. Head of Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of West Kalimantan Province (Disporapar), Windy Prihastari, S.STP., M.Sc. explained this during a coordination meeting for the preparation of BIMP EAGA ministerial meeting in Praja Room 2, West Kalimantan Governor's Office, Tuesday (11/15/2022).

Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan Province, dr. Harisson, M. Kes. accompanied by the Assistant for Governance and People's Welfare, Dra. Linda Purnama, M.Sc., chaired the meeting with the representative from Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. They checked the readiness of Disporapar as the leading sector for welcoming the delegation.

Windy explained, the dancers would welcome the arrival of VIP guests, followed by the hanging of scarves and the wearing of a tanjak, a traditional Malay headgear,  by Putra Putri Pariwisata. "While waiting for the baggage claim process and preparations for going to the hotel, we serve the guest for welcome drinks and snacks and then direct them to the TIC and photo booth," she explained.

For the meeting located at Qubu Resort, Windy said the delegates would be presented with live Sape, a traditional Dayak music performances to fill the room's ambiance. At that location, several photo booth supporting properties will also be provided for the delegates to take pictures. (NM/DS)
