PONTIANAK – The Delegates of The 25th BIMP-EAGA Ministerial Meeting are scheduled to conduct a virtual mangrove planting. Virtual mangrove planting will be done through the Data Collection System Information and Monitoring of the Protective Trees / Shade Trees (SIPPohon) application. The delegates will order through this application to plant their mangrove in Sungai Kupah Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency.

Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan Province dr. Harisson said that apart from attending meetings, the delegates will also participate in outside activities, starting from the virtual mangrove planting.

The delegates will use the application to order tree planting in Sungai Kupah, then at the same time our officers will plant the mangrove based on the application ordered. In addition, the delegates will also plant (tree) directly in the Governor's Pavilion, he said.

Futhermore, the delegates will continue to visit the West Kalimantan Forest Products Gallery to see UMKM products, and non-timber forest products. “Then, the delegates will also visit the Dekranasda (West Kalimantan), and see the Pontianak City souvenir products at the PSP (souvenir center),” he said.
