PONTIANAK – Various kinds of processed and woven fabrics are presented in the exhibition at BIMP – EAGA 2022 Venue, in Mercure Hotel (11/23). Some products that presented are woven ikat of Dayak from Sintang district, songket woven from Sambas district, as well as various others products and processed foods of West Kalimantan. The products are made from natural ingredients dyes from the forest plants in West Kalimantan. At the exihibition booth, there are also heredity products from woven ikat of Dayak.


According to UMKM Coordinator, Fitfiati,  the products on display are expected to develop into the foreign countries. There are various kinds of products, such as bag products which are made from natural plant dyes, and also typical foods and drinks from West Kalimantan.


Fitfiati added that besides using plants as natural dyes in making the products, the public was also given education about replanting plants that became the natural dyes. "Hopefully this product will be of interest for the participants of the BIMP-EAGA from the Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam," he hoped.
