PONTIANAK - The security for holding the 25th BIMP-EAGA Ministerial Meeting in 2022 is stated to be 90 percent ready. Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan Province, dr. Harisson, M.Kes confirmed this when chairing the BIMP-EAGA Security Sector Final Preparation Meeting in the Praja 2 meeting room of the Governor's Office, Monday (14/11/2022).

The participants meeting were the Assistant for Government and People's Welfare of the Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan, Dra. Hj. Linda Purnama, M.Sc., Head of Operations Bureau of the West Kalimantan Regional Police, Head of the West Kalimantan Municipal Police (Satpol PP), Suherman, S.H., M.H., Heads of relevant Agency/Bureau within the West Kalimantan Provincial Government, and the stakeholders.

The Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Municipal Police reported that 757 personnel from 15 security elements are ready to secure the venue from 22 to 27 November 2022. The West Kalimantan Provincial Government, Police and the Tanjungpura Military Command XII will carry out troop rehearsals for the security of the event.

The Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan Province, dr. Harisson, M.Kes., emphasized that the presence of 237 people in the 25th Ministerial Meeting BIMP-EAGA must guarantee their safety and comfort. All technical matters must be ready at important activity points.

"We have also appointed two referral hospitals, namely the dr. Soedarso Regional General Hospital and the Anton Soedjarwo Hospital. Then, other technical matters such as generators and fire engines will also be prepared at important locations for this activity," said him.
